Love for Cats & Coffee

Our story begins with just 2 people with big hearts, and an immense love for cats. Inspired by other cat cafes overseas, we decided to open our very own to share the joy of spending time with lovely felines. With so many kitties having no homes, it was a win-win situation for us. (also an excuse to adopt a whole bunch of kitties, because why not?)

We now consider ourselves a big family at The Cat Cafe. Apart from taking care and playing with cats, we’re all foodies by nature. We don’t just brew awesome cups of coffees, we also serve pretty awesome desserts as well. Our menu has been carefully curated, serving only quality coffee and desserts. Our aim is to provide a comfortable environment for our patrons, good food, and healthy cats.

Beyond cats and food, we’re a bunch of fun loving folks that enjoy hanging out with our dearest kitties. The cafe is pretty much our second home, and the cats are very much like our extended family.

Candice, the brainchild of The Cat Cafe. Her main duties are ensuring that the kitties are healthy and happy. Creating a safe, comfortable, interactive place for all patrons to relax and be entertained by the kitties has been a dream come true for her.

Small Daddy Cat

Jefferson is the chill Geek in the cafe. Often spotted typing away on his laptop in obscure corners of the cafe, one cat on his bag, his main duties are supervising daily operations and also being a human treat dispenser. In his free time he tinkers with the coffee machine, cafe IT system and even teaches a few select cats to do tricks such as "high five".

The Cafe Crew

Part-time/Internship

You are our cat’s Ambassador. You will help to keep our cats happy. You will be our service champions. You will learn to speak the cat language to help our customers understand them.

Responsibilities:

  • Briefing customers on cafe rules
  • Preparation & serving of food/drinks to customers
  • Interact with customers on cat behaviours & cat handling
  • Grooming of cats & prioritising their health
  • Cleaning the cats, their environment (cat condos, beds, litter pans) and the cafe
  • Keep cat condos clean and presentable, including refreshing litter pans
  • Preparation of the cats daily meals & water bowls
  • Dishwashing & Laundry
  • Any ad hoc duties assigned

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Clear understanding of cat behaviour & handling practices
  • Committed, responsible & well-spoken individual
  • Service-oriented, self-motivated & a good team player
  • Enjoy meeting & interacting with people
  • Willing to learn & pick up new skills for self-development
  • Able to work shifts, on weekends & public holidays
  • Only Singaporeans & PR may apply.

Working Conditions:

  • Candidates should not be allergic to animal fur
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift 5 to 10 kg of bags of litter/food, & be able to bend and stretch

The Cafe Crew

Full Time Service Crew/ Cafe Supervisor

You will be a team leader in our cafe. You would be in charge of the day to day operations in the cafe to keep our cats healthy & happy. You are our customer service champion, meeting the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • All the responsibilities of a part timer + the followings:
  • In charge of day to day operations
  • Lead your team in keeping our cats happy and customers happy
  • Coaching and training your crew mates
  • Manage inventories in the cafe

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Clear understanding of cat behaviour & handling practices
  • Committed, responsible & well-spoken individual
  • Service-oriented, self-motivated & a good team player
